A Florida man who was wearing Batman pajamas helped apprehend a burglar who had broken into his truck, allegedly stealing $800 worth of gift cards and jewelry.
Kyle Myvett’s wife saw a security notice on his phone around 2 a.m. on Aug. 27 and alerted him to the potential burglary.
Myvett, a contractor, went outside and found Justin Schimpl in a neighbor’s garage, detaining him until police arrived.
“I grabbed a hold of their shirt and their right wrist, and I told him, I said, ‘Listen, don’t try to get away,’” recalled Myvett, who lives in Cape Coral.
“I don’t have a Superman pajama because he’s kind of – if you’re impervious and invincible, you’re not really brave,” he added.
