(The Heartlander) — A Rhode Island woman with 102 arrests, 82 warrants and 40 traffic citations allegedly struck and killed Roderick “Rory” MacLeod, a Grammy-nominated bassist, on Saturday. Police arrested Shannon Godbout, 41, in Hopkinton after she 

reportedly

 hit two telephone poles before striking MacLeod, 70, who was walking his dogs. Authorities recovered “numerous illegal narcotics and packaging materials commonly associated with drug distribution” from her vehicle. Some have questioned how she was on the road given her lengthy criminal history. MacLeod was part of Roomful of Blues when it was nominated for best traditional blues recording in 1984. He is a member of the Rhode Island Music Hall of Fame and is survived by his wife, fiddle
