School bus driver arrested in Utah for child porn-filled laptop he kept locked in his back shed

(The Heartlander) — A Utah school bus driver is behind bars after admitting he kept a laptop filled with gruesome videos of child pornography locked in his backyard shed.

Val Whitehead, 69, is being held without bail at the Salt Lake County jail after a police search found videos on the laptop of bus drivers having sex with children, ABC 4 News 

. The laptop also contained other images of child pornography. After a months-long investigation, Whitehead admitted to authorities he kept the laptop “locked in a backyard shed,” Fox 13 

. Family members “told law enforcement he ‘spent most of his time alone in the shed in the back of the residence,’ according to court documents.”

Whitehead, who drove for at least two middle school routes and a grade school, has been charged with sexual exploitation of a minor, a second-degree felony. A conviction would carry a sentence of 1-15 years in prison, KJZZ 14
